Our quick and non-comprehensive guide to Paris

A few highlights from one of our favourite cities

EAT

Bistrot Tontine – a collaboration between Bistrot Paul Bert x Phamilyfirst (aka Julien Pham), with different chefs circling through. From Sadie & Anthony at Has Dac Biet to Ash Lee at ChungKing Noodles, it is always worth stopping by.

6 Rue Paul Bert

Café Les Deux Gares – our kind of bistrot serving simple yet modern French cuisine and a great selection of natural wines.

1 Rue des Deux Gares

Les Enfants du Marché – a dining counter set within the food market Marché des Enfants Rouges, known for its great list of natural wine and a changing daily menu of avant-garde cuisine. Don’t be fooled by the street-foody vibe of the market, this is a great lunch option!

39 Rue de Bretagne

VISIT

The Bourse De Commerce – an obvious one, but a must-visit! The Bourse De Commerce shows Francois Pinault’s private collection and offers a subjective perspective on contemporary art. The building itself is worth the visit with the preservation and transformation of a symbolic Parisian building by Japanese architect Tadao Ando.

2 Rue de Viarmes

3537 – an experimental art institution and communal space located in a 17th-century Paris hôtel particulier. Open to the public, 3537 consistently offers new and interesting visions in the old buildings – when we stopped by; it was an exhibition with Lea Colombo.

35-37 Rue des Francs Bourgeois

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise – find a quiet time of the day to visit the biggest graveyard in Paris, because it is indeed a tourist attraction with many notable figures buried her – from Chopin to Édith Piaf to Oscar Wilde to Gertrude Stein and not to forget Jim Morrison.

16 Rue du Repos
